November 2013 – Zones of Avoidance – Winchester Discovery Centre
I’m not feeling too compassionate today after visiting daughter in QA Hospital. She tells me she’s going to be discharged shortly. She still has two bags attached to each side of her abdomen collecting the discharge from an abscess in her groin that didn’t heal. I guess that means I’m going to be in the role of nurse for some time. Meanwhile she’s left her mobile phone with me which is displaying messages at least 3 times a day from dealers. If she’s discharged here and I end up in the role of nurse again, I’m going to plunge the phone into boiling water. End of story? I wish.

As part of the Portsmouth Bookfest 2012, writers from the city and surrounding areas were invited to perform their work in Portsmouth public libraries. This book showcases the work they performed and is an introduction both to well-established and up-and-coming authors.
